About Reston
Reston, Virginia is an internationally recognized planned community located in western Fairfax County. It has a population of 60,353 making it the most populous city in Fairfax County boasting an active Town Center composed of shops, fine dining, hotels, and major businesses. Reston was conceived as a planned community by Robert E. Simon and founded on April 20, 1964 (Simon's 50th birthday) and named for his initials.
